Job Description: Senior Quality Engineer

Position Overview:
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for leading quality initiatives within manufacturing and distribution environments. This role will develop and implement lean and Six Sigma-based processes to ensure product and process compliance with applicable standards and drive continuous improvement across operations.
The position requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of quality systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to resolve quality issues and enhance system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Quality Notification (QN) process to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and corrective action requests through root cause analysis and cross-functional coordination.
- Manage and maintain the calibration program, ensuring compliance and recommending data-driven changes.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Work Instructions (JWIs), and Leader Standard Work, ensuring alignment with AS9120 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) through system enhancements, utilization of dashboards and reporting tools, and user training.
- Conduct internal audits, including document review, employee interviews, audit reporting, and corrective action follow-up.
- Lead and support cross-departmental quality improvement projects using structured methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality or engineering role within manufacturing or distribution.
- Proficient in Lean principles and Six Sigma methodology (Yellow Belt or higher preferred).
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and leading 8D problem-solving teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Experience in environments involving chemicals, assembly, machining, or distribution is preferred.
