Senior Logistics Specialist
Summary
This role supports leadership by overseeing key functions within transportation and distribution operations. The position contributes to developing transportation processes, evaluating operational performance, and supporting future-state logistics capabilities.
Responsibilities

Manage data and entries within third-party Transportation Management Systems; generate reports and analyze operational trends.

Serve as an escalation point for transportation vendors or customers regarding freight concerns.

Work with external partners to secure domestic and international freight quotes; evaluate trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Assess freight forwarder performance and assist in defining and maintaining transportation processes, including QBR participation and carrier accountability.

Support freight audit and payment activities.

Provide assistance for inbound and outbound transportation functions across the organization.

Support transportation coordination requests as needed.

Assist in establishing carrier claims procedures with carriers and insurance providers; ensure related databases are properly maintained.

Contribute to analysis of carrier performance and transportation lanes.
Experience

5+ years of experience in transportation operations or a related logistics function.
Education
-
Post-secondary education in a field such as Supply Chain or a related discipline.
