Lead Press Brake Operator
Overview
A manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled Lead Press Brake Operator with strong technical expertise and the ability to guide and support other operators. The ideal candidate will be proficient with press brake equipment, blueprint interpretation, bend sequencing, and forming intricate parts in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead press brake operations, including setup and execution
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and drawings
- Perform bend deductions, flat pattern layouts, and bend sequencing
- Manage multiple setups and adjust tooling as needed
- Train, mentor, and support junior operators
- Ensure high-quality output while meeting demanding production schedules
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and efficiency
- Safely handle tooling and materials, including lifting items up to 50 lbs
- Support low-volume, high-mix forming operations
Qualifications
- Experience operating Amada press brake equipment
- Strong technical knowledge of press brake equipment, tooling, and forming processes
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings
- Experience leading or setting up junior operators
- Proven experience bending intricate parts within tight deadlines
- Background working in a low-volume, high-mix fabrication or forming department
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to safely lift tooling up to 50 lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 – $36.00 per hour
