Outside Sales Representative-Cleveland Metro Area
Duties:
- Develop new business opportunities with current and prospective customers within assigned territory.
- Develops and maintains direct contact with customer technical staff to identify new products and coordinate service assistance where needed.
- Introduces a complete line of products to customers in assigned markets.
- Gathers market intelligence on customers, products, prices, applications, competitors, industry data, and new business opportunities.
- Develops territory plans, sales objectives, and strategies for assigned products and group objectives.
- Participates in the preparation of sales plans, sales budgets, and forecasts.
- Maintains up-to-date customer and territory information. Prepares reports regularly on customer activities and market analysis.
- Works with the Inside Sales team on customer requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 3 years of sales experience required.
- Metal industry experience preferred.
- 60% travel in the Midwest sales region is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization; as well as the ability to negotiate with suppliers.
- Ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are both critical for this position.
- Able to meet the expectation of completing assignments and tasks with thoroughness and accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and deal effectively with conflicting priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to complete job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
