Job Summary:
A well-established provider of commercial laundry and linen services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee and optimize service and sales operations. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, increasing revenue, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction while fostering a strong team culture. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with direct experience in commercial laundry, linen rental, or a related service-based industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Efficiency
- Oversee Service & Sales departments to ensure efficiency, profitability, and service excellence.
- Implement lean operational processes and continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Service, Sales, Customer Development, Office, and Production, to align with company goals.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Support Sales and Service teams in achieving 12%+ total revenue growth for 2025 through operational improvements.
- Partner with Customer Development and Service teams to drive $500+ weekly in additional sales from existing accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities and manage inbound leads from company sources (website, industry reports).
- Expand market presence in the Chattanooga region, with a personal target of $100+ in weekly new sales.
Customer Satisfaction & Service Excellence
- Ensure services consistently exceed customer expectations and maintain a strong client retention rate.
- Work closely with the Office team to maintain less than 6% overdue accounts, improving cash flow.
- Optimize route efficiency and customer engagement to enhance service quality.
Financial & Business Growth
- Monitor KPIs and operational benchmarks to ensure the company meets financial and performance goals.
- Implement cost-control strategies while maintaining a high standard of service.
- Balance operational efficiency with growth-oriented initiatives to expand market share.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Develop and mentor high-performing teams across multiple departments.
- Foster a collaborative, high-energy work environment built on accountability and continuous improvement.

Compliance, Safety & Innovation
- Drive innovation in commercial laundry and linen operations, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications & Industry Experience Required:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in commercial laundry, linen services, industrial laundry, or a related service industry is required.
- Strong background in process improvement, team leadership, and business operations.
- Proficiency in inventory management, fleet logistics, and customer service operations.
- Experience with route management and fleet tracking software.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
