Position Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor will serve as the direct supervisor to approximately 20 Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians across three shifts. This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production goals, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate maintenance technicians across multiple shifts to ensure proper coverage and workflow.
- Oversee the execution of preventive maintenance plans to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life utilizing maintenance tracking software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and safe manner.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams to prioritize maintenance activities and support plant goals.
- Provide hands-on support and technical guidance to maintenance staff during complex repairs or projects.
- Manage spare parts inventory, maintenance supplies, and vendor coordination as needed.
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures, standards, and training programs.
- Plan, direct, and assign work while coordinating overtime as necessary.
- Train, coach, and mentor employees in accordance with established maintenance development programs.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, or electrical systems preferred.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Experience in heavy manufacturing, preferably in steel, metals, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, PLCs, and welding/fabrication.
